I have been in the health field for almost 25 years. I focus on the whole person to get them well as soon as possible utilizing gentle upper cervical chiropractic, nutrition, ortho-bionomy, and applied kinesiology. I currently practice and have recently started teaching QSM3 (Quantum Spinal Mechanics³) which is an offshoot of NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association).

I had a client tell me he had done twenty laps at the pool, and it had felt great – like being a little kid again. He didn’t want to stop. This man, who is a musician, also told me with a twinkle in his eye that he had been writing songs again. I was thrilled.
Six weeks previous, when he first came to me, this patient was in a rut. He wasn’t exercising, had lost his muse and was in pain. Not debilitating pain, but a constantly nagging pain, nevertheless. He hoped that getting upper cervical chiropractic care would help him with the discomfort. Not only did it help with pain, but it provided him space to get on with what he enjoyed and loved.
Another patient said to me that her knees were better now than they had been five years ago. She is very active, taking trips, and heading one of the major fund raising enterprises for her church. She uses my services to keep her going strong, doing what she loves to do in her retirement.

Still another retired patient is now able to take long walks in the Metroparks with her husband, and several younger patients are proudly bringing home better grades.
These are the stories that inspire me, that give me the most satisfaction in my practice. Not that someone is out of pain, or their headaches, neck and back pain are significantly reduced. That’s nice, but what I really love to hear about is how people are able to do the things that they love in their lives.
Many people come to me because of severe pain or debilitating problems. I love watching them get back to who they are and doing what they want to do. Life is so much more than just getting out of pain.
My goal is to remove restrictions and allow the body’s natural healing ability to express itself. Getting the nervous system working is the first step. I use an incredible procedure that focuses on the upper spine. With a light pressure or tap we are able to take stress off of the central nervous system and allow the body’s innate natural intelligence to express itself fully.
The nervous system is the master controller of our bodies; it controls everything from our muscles to our organs. If there is a slight shift or twist in the atlas (the first bone in the upper neck), we can have chaos in our health. Getting the atlas back into its proper position is the first step in allowing the body to be able to heal itself.
The mission statement of my practice is “To create the possibility of having an extraordinary relationship with our bodies.”
What is possible in your life?
One of my main goals is to get patients to redefine what is normal and to increase the quality of their lives. Here is what some of them are saying:
“My arms and legs are much stronger…no headaches, fatigue or knee pain.” Stephanie Griffith.
“What I find refreshing is your honest, up-front, and kind ‘bedside’ manner.” Barbara Olencki
“I feel like a new person. I can have a life with much less, or no pain!” Gail Kaplin
“After that first adjustment, my arms hummed to life. This was great! My body, after more than
a decade, began to awaken.” Lisa McNelley
“The most dramatic change I noticed was the almost complete cessation of any kind of
headache from the time of my first treatment. How wonderful.” Elizabeth Claypool
