In fact, various types of surgeons have been using J-Plasma® to perform delicate surgeries near vital organs with exacting precision and virtually no heat damage to surrounding tissue. Minimally invasive face lift
J-Plazty™, a technique originally developed by Dr Jack Zamora in Colorado, is nothing like the traditional face lift.
The J-Plazty™ face lifting procedure is performed using J-Plasma® helium energy, and a proprietary technique to tighten the soft tissues below the skin which dramatically rejuvenates the upper and lower face.

Does it work?

Does it hurt?
A combination of topical numbing cream, a local anesthetic and sedation is used so that you will not have pain during the procedure. Afterwards, expect to be sore. One patient described his postoperative experience (after a subdermal procedure to tighten loose skin in the stomach region) not as pain, but rather as discomfort. He said it felt like he had worked out a little too hard and done too many crunches. Another patient reported having no pain at all and only minimal discomfort.
What’s the downtime?
The J-Plazty™ procedure requires only 3-7 days of downtime depending on the area of the body.

What areas can be treated? ―More great news!
It can be used almost anywhere! J-Plasma® can be used most anywhere on the body that has loose or sagging skin, and again scarless!!! In the past, sagging skin had to be removed in order to significantly tighten it, and removing skin meant big scars. In the past, getting rid of sagging or loose skin was a trade off because patients were left with fairly large scars. In recent years, some devices have come to market claiming skin tightening, but the results are much less impressive than with J-Plasma®. It provides such significant skin tightening that it can be used for patients with major weight loss, sagging on the backside of arms, for moms with sagging skin on the tummy, sagging skin above the knees, and really just about anywhere.
In fact, Dr Malhotra can even perform a minimally invasive tummy tuck for some patients using J-Plasma®. This is a huge breakthrough! The J-Plazty™ body tummy tuck alternative is for patients with reasonable muscle tone and mild to moderate excess fat, whose main complaint is excess inelastic skin of the abdomen.
The procedure includes liposculpting for fat reduction, and then delivery of the plasma form of helium below the skin using the J-Plasma® device resulting in immediate and dramatic skin tightening. With this combination, we have seen up to 60% reduction in patient’s “muffin top” (overhanging skin of the lower abdomen). Using J-Plasma® either alone or in combination with liposuction, can be particularly effective following significant weight loss.
Until J-Plasma®, the only treatment for excess skin was surgical removal in the form of a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), brachiplasty for arms, thighplasty for legs/knees which required fairly large scars. With J-Plasma® skin tightening, the size of the incisions are typically 5 mm each, in discrete locations. As a result, it is scarless with a shorter recovery and less risk and less cost than traditional surgical procedures.
