True Pasture-to-Plate Dining
Imagine growing up on a farm where every meal comes from what you’ve grown or raised? Think of the most flavorful meat and vegetables you’ve ever eaten, and that’s every day on a farm.
Scott and Tara Webster created Osso Farm Restaurant to provide high quality pasture-to-plate food using the ingredients grown on their farm.
Osso’s farm to table restaurant passes the best of the Flying W Farm to you. Plus, you dine in the heart of the farm. Out every window is a pasture or barn with farm animals roaming and grazing the fields.
The multi-course menu is rooted in traditional farmhouse fare and is constantly evolving to offer you something exciting and unique every time you dine. Seasonality, sustainability and availability play a role in their menus.
We turned from the asphalt road to the Osso Pasture-to-Plate restaurant entrance and were immediately transformed to another world winding through a series of fields with cattle grazing.
Arriving at the restaurant nestled in the middle of a network of pastures we were escorted to our table in a cozy cove overlooking the farm.
I ordered the lamb and my partner ordered a burger and fries. The lamb was perfectly tender and seasoned. By far the best lamb I have had in a restaurant. My partner said his burger had a unique flavor he can’t get off his mind. He constantly reminds me, “Thursday is burger night.” Now for dessert, the best chocolate mousse I have ever had and being gluten free, it is my go to dessert. We can’t wait for our return visit.
After dinner, we met Scott Webster, the owner. Discussing the Osso approach, he said “I wanted to serve happy animals.” That phrase is used for animals that had a happy healthy free-range life and a stress-free ending.
Scott took us on a tour, in the kitchen bread was rising, meat was smoking, relishes and pickles were being made by the Amish women. Meat was hanging in the locker. The entire area was pristine.
They have featured signature cocktails and an excellent wine list. You want to visit their website often to see their specials, entertainment, and classes.
If you want a unique dining experience, fresh food from the farm, good wine, and a good time, then Osso’s pasture-to-plate dining is a must try!
“One of the coolest restaurant concepts I have been to…in the middle of a farm…meat is butchered directly from the farm…food was delicious and service was great…cool facilities with Dry Aging Room, Cheese Room, Wine Room and a favorite after the meal…Pinball Room. Steaks are worth the price…other food is great…I will be back!” ~ Kevin M.
“Everything was delightful and beautiful…set on a small working farm…food was delicious, bread board was so good…ribs were super tender and amazing…brisket sandwich was great…—loved the Rocky Road Potsticker!” ~ Melissa S.
