Do you suffer from “tattoo regret?” If your former boyfriend’s name is a constant and unwanted reminder on your arm, there is an effective new way to get rid of him…uh, we mean IT…forever!
Until recently, the medically accepted way to removal tattoos was with a laser. Welcome “Eclipse Reverse TM.” This unique, non-laser procedure is called “Mechanized Epidermal Tattoo Removal” (METR) and it removes all colors of tattoos in 3-5 sessions.
“Tattoo removal is a hot, growing trend,” says Northcoast Laser Cosmetics Master Aesthetician and specially trained tattoo removal technician Lacy Schneider. “Forty-five million Americans have tattoos, and there has been a 31% increase in removals since 2011. Nearly one in 5 people with tattoos say they’d like to remove them. Plus, the inks used in the procedure are unregulated, and may contain heavy metals and toxins, which is another compelling reason to consider the procedure,” explains Schneider.
METR works like this: Fine microneedles deliver a proprietary solution into the area, coagulating the unwanted pigment. The old ink is then lifted out of the skin after a few weeks, along with a scab that has formed. New, naturally pigmented skin then replaces the previously tattooed skin. The process causes minimal inflammation in surrounding tissues, and, because only a limited amount of ink is removed during each treatment session, this allows the tattoo to be removed both safely and effectively.
If your old tattoo is now just old news, consider a fresh start. Contact Northcoast Laser Cosmetics for details on how to begin!
