Serenity can be found in the midst of chaos in today’s fast-paced world only when we name it, choose it, and consciously invite it in.
Spinning heads, shriveled hearts are all that we gain by forgetting to nourish ourselves at the well of stillness.
If we are to think, love, create, rejoice, or do anything worthwhile, we must remember to allow space for these good things to enfold. What is art without the spaces around that which is in focus? We can’t even conceive it. What is music without the silence between the notes?
Everything that exists springs from a “ground of becoming”―a space that both holds and supports it, and differentiates it from the chaos.
How can we allow more of these nurturing spaces in our own lives?
