Can you imagine not being able to meet your simplest dignity needs, such as having toothpaste to brush your teeth in the morning?
Unfortunately, this dignity problem is a reality for 40 percent of Ohio families, adolescents, and young adults who are struggling to afford basic necessities of housing, food, child care, healthcare, and transportation.
The idea for Simply More started in late 2017 after learning that in a local school district several students were humbly asking for toothpaste.
Complicating this problem, the Federal Government’s Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), which is designed to support many of these families in need, does not cover personal care products such as toothpaste, soap, shampoo, feminine hygiene products, and other grooming supplies.
Simply More was created to help with a solution in Northeast Ohio with a focus on children and young adults.
Together, we can do “Simply More.”
