There are times the scale has a way of not being very friendly. However, you can eliminate this frustration by giving yourself ‘non scale’ victories.
This is a very self Empowering approach, and doesn’t require measurements.
You want to think of your body becoming Fit, Healthy and Strong. Don’t let the scale define you. Take control of your body— workout, gain muscle, transform your body—reward yourself with a new outlook. You have the power—the MPower…not the other way around.
However, you have to put in the time and effort to be a success—you need to MOVE.
Move to YOUR Groove. Choose a physical activity that speaks you. You are more likely to make time for it if you enjoy it and look forward to it. It’s the things we don’t enjoy that we put off. But, if it adds more fun to your life, you are more likely to do it.
FUNctional Fitness. When you concentrate on becoming fit—you’ll be able to work out for longer intervals of time, and chores will become easier. Whether it’s doing yard work, or simply walking up the stairs, everyday tasks will become less of a struggle.

Be an active TV watcher. It’s unrealistic to never watch TV. So when you do, try to incorporate some physical activity—walk on your treadmill, march in place, etc. 30 minutes flies by when you engage your mind in the news or a sitcom.
FIT it in. Sometimes it’s very difficult to exercise—DON’T GET DISCOURAGED if you miss a workout—just do your best. There are 1440 minutes in a day—you only need “8 minutes”—and you can produce some amazing results.
Fun Fitness – You’ll have fun! Believe it or not, it can be extremely enjoyable. Remember how fun it was to run around as a child? Tap into your inner child. Find a mode of exercise that gets you excited. Consistent exercise will tone and tighten your body. Your clothes will fit better, and your appearance will improve.
Exercise until you perspire (glisten for you girls) on a regular basis. Forget the long and boring cardio sessions, do something that’s fun and makes you sweat. The first thing in the morning is the best time. It will actually rev you up for the rest of the day.
This week, pay attention to the thoughts you’re having during exercise—focus on replacing negative thoughts with positive ones. Doing so will make your workouts more productive and enjoyable.
And remember…
One salad won’t make you healthy.
One workout won’t make you fit.
But with each one your body is changing from the inside out.
The visible results won’t show up unless you do. So, show up.
