There’s an old saying “…we will never be younger than we are at this moment.”
Oh, how true that is when it comes to our bodies.
The deterioration of muscle mass and strength is a normal part of aging―known as sarcopenia. If little is done to prevent sarcopenia, its progression happens to everyone. This is why older people who do-little drift toward a state where they find activities of daily living, like carrying groceries into the house, rising from a chair, or ascending stairs very difficult or next to impossible.
That’s why it’s extremely important to keep your muscles active…at any age―but especially as you age. For those of you who have noticed your first strands of gray hair…or you’re getting a little heavier around your waistline, or you feel a little more sluggish during the day…listen up! While we can’t control all of these signs of aging…together, we will reverse many of them. You need to MOVE!
And the glory of being in better shape―you’re more injury resistant―you can “bullet proof” your joints, ligaments, bones and muscles so that when you fall or jar your body you can better endure the trauma with less chance of broken bones and having to sit on the sidelines of life for weeks or months or maybe even years.
