What Are Fillers?
Filler injections restore volume to the face. The exact compounds may vary, but many premium fillers replenish the body’s hyaluronic acid. These molecules are responsible for making your skin look supple and smooth. Hyaluronic acid is plentiful when you are young, but your body produces less of it with age.
Premium fillers containing hyaluronic acid are a key solution for anti-aging. Facial fillers available at the Enhanced Image Center include:

Bellafill, contains polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). While Juvederm and Belotero products are engineered to replace hyaluronic acid, PMMA stimulates the creation of collagen, which also diminishes as you get older. Bellafill provides long-lasting restoration of collagen to the portions of your face that lose volume, such as the cheeks and the hollows in the temple area.
FILLERS can address a wide variety of facial aging concerns, including:

What Are Injectable Wrinkle Treatments?
Although fillers can address many different areas of the face, they aren’t the ideal solution for every aging concern. For rejuvenation of the upper face, Dr. Malhotra may recommend Botox Cosmetic.
BOTOX® Cosmetic is not a filler. Instead, the treatment blocks muscle interactions that cause lines and wrinkles to form on the skin.
As a result, BOTOX® Cosmetic is most effective for rejuvenating portions of the face that are particularly expressive (and thus tend to develop prominent lines that you may know by name), such as:
• The forehead (furrowed brow)
• The brow (frown lines)
• The corners of the eyes (crow’s feet)
• Top of the nose (bunny lines)
• The under eye area (crinkles)

Other Injectable Treatments
Patients young and old, male and female, are often self-conscious of a double chin. In this age of selfies and video chat, many people are concerned about how they look from an upward angle.
Fillers and wrinkle relaxers won’t address double chin. However, Dr. Malhotra is pleased to offer Kybella for patients who want to contour the space below the chin.
Kybella is the only FDA-approved injectable for treatment of fat on the underside of the chin (known as submental fat). Dr. Ritu will customize the non-surgical injections to the amount of fat you want to remove.
