Red signs, green and yellow signs, red, white and blue signs—oh my!!
How do I know which Realtor to choose? It is good to start with someone you personally know, or a recommendation from a family member or friend if they have recently sold or bought a home in your market area. Pick two or three agents to interview, and prepare for those meetings.
Experience counts—either years in real estate, or if they are new to the business—background in another relevant field—like marketing. They should demonstrate knowledge of recent sales, and be familiar with current inventory in your area. Reviewing recent sales information is great, but it is also very important to consider the asking prices and condition of competing homes in the area.
The buyers will choose the best home for them, at the best price, at the time that they are ready to buy. Your agent needs to help you see this all from the perspective of a buyer, while keeping your best interests at the forefront.
Ask the Realtor:
- What price would they recommend to sell your house
- What repairs/improvements are most important to sell your home
- What they will do to sell your home that is different from what others might do
All Realtors are unique in their expertise, and not all companies provide the same services.
Please call if I may be of service to you.
